Hi, I’m Cathy.

Elle & Edward wasn’t born from a business plan. It began with a longing for something many of us are searching for…

A slower life.

Like so many people, I found myself constantly rushing from one thing to the next. Running a business, raising two children and juggling everyday life left very little time to simply stop. Yet I always noticed how something as simple as lighting a candle could completely change the feeling of a room. Suddenly home felt calmer. Cosier. More peaceful.

Those quiet moments became something I started to protect.

When I created Elle & Edward, I wanted to bottle that feeling.

The name itself comes from my children’s middle names - the two people who inspire everything I do- and every collection is thoughtfully designed to encourage you to slow down, breathe a little deeper and reconnect with home.

Because fragrance is more than a beautiful scent.

It’s the smell of a cosy cabin after a woodland walk. Fresh sheets on a Sunday morning. Rain against the windows. A favourite book. A peaceful evening when the world finally quietens.

Those are the moments I want our fragrances to bring back.

Every candle is hand-poured in my Yorkshire studio in small batches using carefully selected fragrance oils and a luxury natural wax blend of soy, coconut, rapeseed and ethically sourced beeswax. Sustainability is at the heart of every decision we make, from our ingredients to our recyclable packaging, because beautiful products shouldn’t come at the expense of the world around us.

My hope is simple.

That when you light an Elle & Edward candle, you’re reminded to pause. To be present. To enjoy the ordinary moments that often become life’s most meaningful ones.
